A Series of Unfortunate Events

  • OHMYGOSH! Michael Jackson is in the hospital?!?! Don't get me wrong, he's waaayyy too scary looking right now, but he's a LEGEND nonetheless! I hope he pulls through, at least for his family and children.
    Craziness!
I can hear people throughout the office "ohmygosh"-ing and checking entertainment news sites feverishly for updates. So many people grew up with this Wacko Jacko.
  • My bro went overboard when trimming the Rose of Sharon bushes at my Dad's house...and now all that is left are three stumps. :( Not cool. Apparently, he didn't realize what he had done until after the fact. He felt really awful. Well, poo.
  • Farrah Fawcett passed away--and my condolences go out to her family.
  • I'm bored at work. Nothing to do.
See? All these events, but no good news. What's good today?

***UPDATE: WHAT? CNN and LA Times have confirmed that Michael Jackson has passed away.***

My Love Affair...with a purse

This is the purse that I LOOOOOVVVEE, but will never be mine. :( *sigh* It's D&G, made of gorgeous pink patent leather, andhasanoriginalpricetagof$1200...which makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end! BUT, it was marked down to $835, then again to $624...but that's still too much for me. It's such a bummer, though! I love love love this bag and have been eyeing it for MONTHS (I swear!). But, I cannot justify the purchase of this bag when it is valued at more than one of my mortgages. Ha ha! However, a girl can dream, can't she?

I think I'd much rather use the money for a treadmill. ;)

Random, say what?

You know what would be cool? If I was allowed a pet in the workplace. Like a hamster or bunny or fish. It would make the day brighter and go by faster.

Saturday was full of cleaning the house, mainly the downstairs, and doing laundry. Ohmygosh, it's weird that I work up a serious sweat mopping the $&*(@# out of the hardwood floor. Phew! That night was spent hanging out with John, Jaquelene and Jeff (three J's!) at happy hour in Bellevue. Food was great and of course the company was fantastic. :) Saw the ultrasound pics of John & Jaq's little wee one and it's so exciting! Jaquelene looks absolutely stunning!

Father’s day was very fun…Mariners game with the Allen side of the fam, and then hanging out with my Dad for a bit. We went and saw The Proposal, which I thought was a good movie and Ryan Reynolds is wicked hot. *sizzle* The M’s won at the very last second due to the opposing team’s 1st baseman dropping the ball…craziness! Also, our row was picked among the entire stadium to receive free ice cream, which was awesome too. Never happened to me before!

My dizziness is getting a little better, and although I haven’t ran the past two days, I think I should be ready to go tonight. I need to get in at least 4.5 miles to make up for the lost time.

AH HA!

I know what caused my vertigo episode! I've been holding in my sneezes!! I have a tendency to be really loud when I sneeze, so I try to stifle it and apparently it's awful for your inner ear. But of course.

So, Tuesday I was stifling a LOT of my sneezes because I was in public and wasn't wearing the proper shirt (to sneeze into). AH HA! Culprit! I'm feeling a lot better today, but when I tried sneezing this morning and held it in...*POP* went my right ear. AH HA again!

Today's lesson kids: if you gotta sneeze, sneeze like you mean it.

Word.

Which way is up?

Woke up this morning extremely dizzy and disoriented. Felt like the room was spinning, even with my eyes closed. No, I wasn't drunk or hungover...but it felt like that. Travis looked into "vertigo" on webmd and I tried a few things to "loosen the crystals in my ear." Or something like that. I've eaten food like normal and I've been drinking more H2O than usual to make sure I'm not dehydrated. This sucks! Every movement that I make too quickly causes me extreme dizziness. :(

Travis stayed home with me to make sure that I didn't need to see a doctor. I cannot miss another day at work.

Sometimes

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I still had my Mum around. I mean, so much could have been shared with her: graduation of high school then college, getting married, adopting a kitten, buying a house, contemplating kids. There are so many unanswered questions that I have, it could fill a novel. My eyes burn when I think about what COULD be, not what IS. I feel awful sometimes. Would I be with Travis? Would I be working at Nordstrom? Would I have met the amazing people that are curently in my life?

Who knows.

It's almost been ten years, but the pain in my heart still won't go away.

Awe Man!

I didn't get the job. The interviewers really liked me, however, and kept telling me that they want to "keep me on the bench." Oh well, this will not be the only opportunity, and it is always a good experience to get interview time (gets my name out there, too!).

Found out that Trav & my close friends are having a baby in December, which will be the first baby since our niece was born. Crazy! I'm super excited for them and can't wait to meet the new little wee one.

Work is slowly picking up, especially with the sale coming up in the next few weeks. Are you ready Nordstrom lovers? Anniversary Sale! Woot!
